the season of fairs

spring and summer are upon us and there is no shortage of craft fairs to enjoy both as a vendor and as a buyer...isn't it just fabulous?!
personally, i will be applying to a few as a vendor as well as hopefully setting up a small space at our Strawberry Swing fair in July; i will definitely be shopping at some cool fairs here and there this summer as well!

with that in mind i thought i would list a few local fairs that i know of for those interested in being involved as a vendor or a buyer. 

FIRST, check out this blog:  http://bonbonatelier.blogspot.com/ for info regarding the fantastic Ric Rac Roundup that is headed up by the owners of bon bon atelier in Westport.  This is the fair I was lucky enough to have a booth at last summer.  I met some amazingly creative and kind people there and found it to be a very successful show as a vendor.  I believe they are accepting applications for their show scheduled for Saturday, July 23rd. 

Of course, you have certainly heard about the Art in the Park fair in Lawrence, Kansas.  This year it will take place on May 1st.  It is a juried show as well with space for 150 artists.  I am sorely disappointed that I won't be able to attend that fair this year.
